Frank (Lloyd Wright) would be a regular houseguest in our southwestern Pennsylvanian home, dropping by whenever our own renovations were still in their embryonic phase. When it came time for him to motor back to Fallingwater, he would select one of his fifty beloved cars on a whim and invite us along for a spell. Over breakfast we would coax him into sketching dresses for us, just as he once did for Olgivanna so we could dance through the surrounding forests and tie ribbons around the trees we loved the most.

Fallingwater remains, to us, one of the most beautiful house designs ever created, a  building that has moved us to tears, so lucid is its genius and intention. We imagine ourselves perched on the famous boulder that anchors the design, warming by the hearth, absorbing the dialogue between interior and landscape.

In that moment we grasp how profoundly Wright wove lived memories into architecture, exactly as he did for the Kaufmanns Our wish is that every wallpaper we craft slips seamlessly into a home’s story, stirring quiet magic, etching memories that endure, and, on the tenderest days, drawing a grateful tear.
