Dear houseguests,
This blog is collection of whimsical musings celebrating the home through ancient and modern architecture, infamous and unknown artworks, characters past and present, music, furnishings, novels, poetry and beyond...
House Of Londinium believes any house which is graced with contented dwellers, a gentle flow of inspirational houseguests and an array of expressive furnishings, gives way for comfortable silences and for soulful moments to occur.
These moments we believe form the precious and priceless foundations of any dream home.
When shared laughter spills out, alluring and meaningful art works ignite even the dampest of days, when sentimental pieces lay around comforting us with warm memories, only then does the space we inhabit wondrously transforms itself into a home and gains it's own agency.
Any home, permanent or temporary whether a meublee in Paris, a truilli in Ostuni, a bedsit in East London, offers a pocket of protection through which we can express who we are culturally, internally and individually.
Creating such a space is a labour of love, patience and soul. The process can be approached intentionally or occur naturally, often the presence of intentional design mixed with a natural unintentional placements creates a perfect harmony.
Sharing our intimate spaces with houseguests is one of the the greatest gifts. House of Londinium believes the most highly regarded interior decorations within any home are the houseguests, the memories, the unseen layering of cultivated warmth.
In this blog, we explore who House Of Londinium would love to invite over to many types of dream homes worldwide, real and fictional. We explore the interiors, exteriors, and the imagined houseguests who inspire us.
Thank you for reading, you are always welcome in our House of Londinium.
