The teenager would be our houseguest, without consciously knowing it themselves.

In the quieter moments they would pace around reluctant to embrace boredom. Boredom itself would play it’s own game with them, taunting the teenager to fly through it’s micro portal to another larger and wilder adventure set beyond screens, beyond physical toys, beyond the over familiar outer world.

Eventually, the teenager would give in, sit still and look out towards nothing, embrace the empty space and just be, at this point the teenager would fly straight though the portal and go deeper into an adventure filled with limitless daydreams, inventive thought and deep relaxation.

We would watch the teenager houseguest and know that once their personal adventure had completed, we would find them in the fridge.
